Students from the Tailoring programme demonstrated their creativity, craftsmanship, and practical competencies during a visit by inspectors from the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT), showcasing the quality of vocational training offered at ABIA Skills.
The practical exhibition formed part of the DIT inspection exercise, where students displayed a variety of garment construction techniques and tailoring skills acquired throughout their training. The inspectors observed students as they carried out tasks such as taking body measurements, pattern drafting, fabric cutting, sewing, garment assembly, finishing, and quality control.
Throughout the demonstration, the students exhibited professionalism, attention to detail, creativity, and proficiency in the use of tailoring equipment while explaining the processes involved in producing high-quality garments. Their practical skills reflected the institution’s commitment to competency-based training that equips learners with industry-relevant knowledge and hands-on experience.
