The Catering Class proudly showcased their practical skills and creativity during a visit by inspectors from the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT), demonstrating the high standards of hands-on training offered at Ndejje University.
The showcase formed part of the DIT inspection exercise aimed at assessing the quality of vocational and practical training. Students confidently displayed a wide range of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, baking, presentation, and hospitality service skills acquired through their training.
The inspectors were taken through practical demonstrations, where students prepared and presented a variety of dishes while explaining the processes, food safety practices, and professional standards followed in the catering industry. The session highlighted the students’ competence, creativity, teamwork, and readiness for the workplace.
The exhibition also reflected the University’s commitment to providing competency-based education that equips learners with practical knowledge, technical expertise, and industry-relevant skills. Through continuous practical training and exposure to real-life assessments, Ndejje University ensures that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the hospitality and catering sector.
The University appreciates the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) inspectors for their valuable assessment and guidance throughout the inspection process. Such engagements play a vital role in maintaining quality standards and promoting excellence in skills development.
